Grow up eating pear soup in the winters?
This is a classic dish for my household because in traditional Chinese medicine, pears are great for moisturizing the lungs. This is perfect for the winter when the air gets much drier! Usually it’s stewed but this time I tried steaming it instead. Classic stewed version is coming next.
Ingredients:
1 Asian pear
1/2 tbsp goji berries
1 tsp rock sugar
Instructions:
Skin the pear first.
Cut off top of the pear with the stem, then scoop out the core.
Fill core with goji berries and rock sugar.
Steam for 30-40 mins until flesh is buttery soft.
Enjoy!
